#87: Remove NTW manual watermark

Solved!
The Steam version of Napoleon: Total War ships with a PDF manual. Unfortunately, it has a giant "SEGA" watermark over most of its pages, making the text difficult to read.

Looking for a reasonably easy way to remove the SEGA watermark. From viewing it, it seems that the watermark is an additional layer atop the text, so it should be removable without resorting to graphics editing.

Removing unprotected PDF watermark

This problem boils down to the removal of watermarks from an unprotected PDF, as the current version (as of March 5, 2010 -- they may change it once this becomes known) is not protected by an edit password.

If you have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro (the full version, not just the Reader), select the Document menu -> Watermark -> Remove ... This will automatically remove the watermark. Save and we're done.

If the PDF becomes protected later on, the edit password must be stripped before this trick would work. For now, plain watermark removal is just fine.

Not everyone has Acrobat, but finding a copy of the PDF processed by someone else who does have Acrobat shouldn't be hard in this day and age.

( For the moment, I've uploaded my de-watermarked version at:
